Assembly Troubleshooting - Right and Left Arm Modules
Having trouble getting your Allform armchair or sofa together? We’re here to help with some detailed troubleshooting steps. Below, we’ll focus on the connection of your Left and Right Arm Modules to your Seat Bases. We’ll focus on the best way to angle your Arm Modules and lock them into place.
Step 1
Connect the Seat Base to the Seat Back using two T-Bolts and two Metal Washers
- Place the Seat Back flat on the floor. Lift and align the Seat Base with the exposed cutout on the Seat Back. The Seat Base shelf will fit into the Seat Back cutout.
- Check the holes under the Seat Base shelf to be sure they are aligned with the holes on the Seat Back cutout.
- With the Metal Washer added, fasten two T-Bolts into the seat base until the Seat Back and Seat Base are securely connected.
Step 2
Connect the Right Arm Panel to the right side of your Seat Back
- Screw the Connecting Pin into the Base Plate on your Right Arm Panel until tight.
- Rotate the connected Seat Base and Seat Back on its left side with the Opening Plate on your Seat Back facing up.
- While holding the Right Arm Panel over the Seat Back, align the Connecting Pin with the Opening Plate and slowly insert the Connecting Pin into the top of the Opening Plate.
- With the Connecting Pin still loosely inserted into the Seat Back, ensure the holes at the bottom of your Right Arm Panel are properly aligned with the holes in the bottom of your Seat Base.
- With a Metal Washer added, securely fasten two T-Bolts into the bottom of your Right Arm Panel, connecting the Right Arm Panel with the Seat Base.
- With both T-Bolts fastened into the bottom of your Seat Base, apply pressure with your body weight on the top of the Right Arm Panel to securely lock the Connecting Pin into the seat back. Once locked, the Connecting Pin will no longer feel loose or wiggle inside of the Seat Back.
Step 3
Connect The Left Arm Panel to the your second Seat Module
- Repeat Step 1 above to securely connect a new Seat Back and Seat Base.
- Rotate the connected Seat Back and Seat Base so the Opening Plate on the right side of your Seat Back is face down and the Base Plate on your Seat Back with Connecting Pin attached is facing up.
- Screw the Connecting Pin into the left side of the Seat Back.
- Holding the Left Arm Panel above the Seat Back, ensure the Connecting Pin is aligned with the Opening Plate on your Left Arm Panel and slowly insert the Connecting Pin into the top of the Opening Plate.
- With the Connecting Pin still loosely inserted into the Left Arm Panel, ensure the holes at the bottom of your Left Arm Panel are properly aligned with the holes in the bottom of your Seat Base.
- With a Metal Washer added, securely fasten two T-Bolts into the bottom of your Left Arm Panel, connecting the Left Arm Panel with the Seat Base.
- With both T-Bolts fastened into the bottom of your Seat Base, apply pressure from the top of your Seat Back towards the bottom of your Seat Base to securely lock the Connecting Pin into the Seat Back. Once locked, the Connecting Pin will no longer feel loose or wiggle inside of the Seat Back.
Step 4
Attach the Legs
- With a Leg Washer attached, screw each leg into the corresponding leg holes at each corner of the Seat Base.
Note: The hole positioned in the center-front of the Seat Base is reserved for a Chaise connection, when applicable. It is not designed for a Leg.
